What is Maximum Bidding?

Our Max Bidding system allows you to bid on the particular lots desired, and only when necessary, places bids in one bid increments on your behalf up to the desired max bid amount. If another bidder does not continue to bid against your high bid you can win the lot under your Max bid amount!

Max Bids can be placed 24 hours a day for all active auction catalogues. Auction catalogues are uploaded approximately 10 days prior to any auction.

There can only be one max bid per bid increment, so bid early to own that bid increment.

It is possible for a single bidder to place multiple Max bids on a single lot; however each additional max bid must be at least two increments above your prior max bid.

Max Bids features are temporarily disabled one hour before the starting time of each auction; but do become active again on the start of each auction and continue until the end of the auction.

As with all forms of Teletrade Bidding; all Maximum Bids are final and cannot be removed or changed.

Maximum Bidding Online - Maximum Bids can be entered the following ways via the Internet:

While browsing the desired auction simply click on the lot of your choosing and instantly place a Maximum Bid within the lot description page.

After using the track and bid feature all lots will be automatically stored within your personal track and bid account where you can place Maximum Bids in up to 60 lots.

Maximum Bidding by Phone:

To place Maximum Bids by phone before an auction:

Call 800.332.5040, and enter your ID number and password.

Press "1" to select maximum bidding.

Enter the auction number.

Enter the lot number.

Enter the amount of your maximum bid (at our increments).

Press the "*" button to confirm the bid for each lot.

To place Maximum Bids by phone during an auction:

Call 800.332.5040, and enter your ID number and password.

When first prompted for a lot number push the "*" button.

Enter the lot number.

Enter the $ amount of your maximum bid (at our increments).

Press the "*" button to confirm the bid for each lot.
