Seller's Fees

Consignors are charged a seller's fee based on the prices realized, on a per-lot level on completed auctions. Please note the following fee schedule:

Guaranteed Sold Program

As a part of Teletrade's commitment to our consignors, we offer our Guaranteed Sold Program. In the event that your coin/currency does not sell the first time, we will relist your item in up to two additional auctions for no additional unsold fees. If your coins/currency sells in one of these additional auctions, you will only pay a seller's fee calculated on the realized price.

Buybacks/Reserves and Fees

Teletrade does not place buybacks, also known as reserves, on behalf of our consignors. All buybacks/reserves are to be placed by the consignor no later than 1 hour prior to auction start time. Consignors are notified via email and standard mail, 10 days prior to auction, of all the necessary information on how to place these buybacks/reserves. Consignors are charged a flat 5% fee (minimum $5, maximum $100) on their full buyback/reserve bid on any lots that go unsold as a result of the buyback/reserve. All unsold coins/notes that must be returned to the consignor will be assessed the following Return Shipment Charge.

Consignor Coin/Currency Return Fee (per shipment):

$15 (up to 10 lots) plus $5 per each additional 10 lots.

Scheduling

Teletrade's staff of numismatists hand select the lots in each auction, and therefore reserve the right to place all coins in the most appropriate auction, to get you the most for your coins. In the event that there are any duplicate coins consigned we will split them into multiple auctions, or offer them as a lot within the bulk/dealer lot category. All consigners are notified 10 days prior to the auction start date of when they should expect there coins to be in auctioned. The notifications are via email and delivered letter.

Teletrade is known for having one of the fastest turnaround times in the industry. Once coins are sold at auction, Teletrade will send you a check within 36 days. Please note the proceeds from the sale will be distributed as follows:

Seller's/Grading Fees will be deducted based on the realized price of the auction.

Any Buyer's fees owed to Teletrade from previous purchases will be deducted from the realized price of the auction.

If you have received a cash advance, we will first apply amount owed to fees and or interest accrued on your cash advance. We will then apply the remaining balance to any principle owed to balance on the cash advance. All allocated money is at the sole discretion of Teletrade Inc.

We recognize that consignors often require working capital to take advantage of buying opportunities, or want to receive anticipated sales proceeds sooner. Placing Buybacks/Reserves

Placing reserves is actually done by entering them as Maximum Bids, and can be done in several ways. Just remember that all buybacks/reserves are to be placed by the consignor no later than 1 hour prior to auction start time.

Enter multiple reserves by lot number and amount
Reserves can be entered in rapid succession by using our Mass Maximum Bid Entry feature. Simply enter the auction number at the top of the page, and then enter up to 30 lot/amount pairs in the provided spaces.

Enter reserves via your Tracking list
Reserves can be entered by first placing your consigned lots into your Tracking list, which can be done individually, or quickly facilitated in bulk through our Add Lots to Track page. Once your consigned lots are in your Tracking list, you can bid on them via the Track and Bid page.

Selling Raw Coins

Teletrade offers a Combined Grading / Auction Program, where your raw coins/currency are graded by ANACS, ICG, NGC or PCGS and then auctioned by Teletrade... and you pay no up-front grading fees! A special arrangement between Teletrade and the grading services enables you to certify and auction your raw coins/currency in one easy step, in less time, and at lower cost than ever before. ANACS, ICG, NGC and PCGS will accept submissions of coins/currency with no advance payment if designated for auction by Teletrade. Just fill out one of the above submission forms and Teletrade will ship and process your grading submission on your behalf... for no additional fees.
